Short-term exchange of groups of pupils in Girona
11th – 15th March 2019
|
In the end this long expected day came - Sunaday 10th March 2019. That day our next Erasmus+ project group set off on the second partner schools meeting, which took place in Girona, Catalonia (Spain).
|
The project begins its first collaborative activities involving enthusiast students.
A warm welcome fest when the exceptions are revealed and the groups are formed. Participants are implied in an active parachute game in order to know each other better. On the second part of the day the teams present each other their work on the artist topic - short films, prezi presentations, drama or the last supper recreation from the teenagers point of view. The first impressions are written on the project diary in a collaborative manner using padlet app. |

Before the teachers' meeting a short walk on the beach in L'Escala.
|
Mona Lisa is looking for her new face - partners start their transforming process using photoshop app.
Where is Lisa is a game which gives the partners the outstanding opportunity to discover school and the surroundings. Some of the partners are students of the Institute for some classes and then the paper turns polygons into some platonic solids working actively and collaboratively. Teachers design the eTwinning space and decide the topics, the procedure and the appropriate methods of the next project's task. In the afternoon the participants visit the History Museum and find out the most important events of the city development during the centuries. |
|
From pigments to the colours - workshop about Pigments: students learnt how during the Renaissance the painters produced their colours.
|
In the morning the teams keep on looking for the periodic elements which are still hidden in the school, waiting to be discovered.
Digital painters go on working in teams to update the face of the well-known Mona Lisa. Meanwhile, new exciting lines fill in the online diaries of the teams. In the afternoon we wander on the narrow streets of the old city admiring the beauty of the magnificent cathedral. We gather our breath on top of the 90 steps of the stairs and the right time for a snapshot comes. The Art Museum offers us an outstanding lesson about canvas, pigments, painting techniques. The pigment workshop is just the right opportunity to prove our skills, sitting shoulder by shoulder, sharing in order to recreate the atmosphere of a Renaissance bodega. |
The first workshop of the day offers the partners the possibility to establish the right proportion of some liquids to be mixed in order to get some soft plasticine. While the older students are the tutores, the plasticine turns into various shapes and figurines.
The Leonardo' s bridge is recreated collaboratively using wooden sticks. Mona Lisa gets the final touch before printing her completely new appearance. The last events are written in the online diaries. The visit to the City Hall gives the partners the possibility to be members of the Girona city council for a short time. The Maths session is an interactive lesson where the partners can discover by themselves difficult Maths notions as comparing volumes, measuring length and hight and experimenting on various materials. |

The trip to Barcelona is another pleasant opportunity to enrich collaboration between partners. A short walk to the cathedral and to the harbour and then on La Rambla to catch the Catalan atmosphere.
Sagrada Familia tour is a marvellous experince for all of us. The last supper is the final activity of our exchange week. We all feel members of the same family, STEAM like Leonardo, sharing and having a good time together while eating our host specific dishes. |
